The Fuse Factory is an art and technology initiative focused on cultivating artistic production, research, and experimentation with digital media and electronic tools. Our purpose is to function as an incubator for innovation, interaction, collaboration, critical thought, diversity, and artistic exploration. [Fuse Factory home].
Education Program
- Our mobile lab educational program allows us to share our passion for art and technology with adults and children throughout the central Ohio region. Our art activities give participants the opportunity to work with mass media processes, image manipulation computer software, digital photography, electronics, pervasive technologies, and more. Participants also learn about contemporary artists who explore the cultural impact of technological innovation and mass media. Mobile lab instructors provide the materials, know-how, and encouragement for participants to create and innovate.
Beginning in 2008, our mobile lab educational program will be offered at a variety of sites around Columbus and the Central Ohio region.

Exhibition Program
- The Fuse Factory organizes group shows featuring the work of emerging and recognized artists and performers working at the intersection of art, culture, and technology. Because the processes of working with technology are so diverse, shows are assembled around a unifying theme. The 2008 exhibitions will take place in locations around Columbus and Central Ohio.
Lecture Series
- The Fuse Factory will offer a lecture series featuring practitioners and theorists working at the intersection of art, culture, media, and technology (both established and emerging). Please stay tuned for more information about our 2008 lectures.
